Annotation

The Czech Cubist Pavilion, presented for EXPO Osaka 2025, was intended as a remarkable testament to Cubism's enduring influence on contemporary design. This architectural idea perfectly harmonizes the principles of cubist art with modern functionality, it showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Czech Republic and at the same time transcends the boundaries of modern architectural expression. Drawing inspiration from the Cubist movement of the early 20th century, which originated in Prague, the pavilion presents an eye-catching combination of geometric forms, dynamic angles and detailed workmanship. Sharply defined edges, fragmented planes and bold geometric patterns refer to the abstractions and fragmented perspectives that define Cubist art.
