On the left bank of the Metuje River there are 3 characteristically different localities: the SUN housing estate, hospital and school premises and a comprehensive development of family houses. This part of the town has no clearly defined boundary and the town is gradually disappearing into the surrounding countryside.
The proposal unifies the 3 existing sites and expands them to make the whole area feel integrated. At the same time, it defines a clear boundary of the town while maintaining the views from Vyhlídka to the whole of Náchod. The cornerstone of the development is the detached house, which is often used in the form of a terraced house, creating different structures and places that residents can identify with.
