Přerov nad Labem- tavern in the open-air museum

Kateřina Veselá

Annotation

The design of a multi-purpose house with a barn is set in the lower part of the open-air museum in Přerov n. L.It was inspired by local houses in the square from the 2. half of the 19th century. The building broadens the awareness of the architectural development in Polabí from this period. It is a two-storey house, following layout of the internal typology with a restaurant and odd accommodation function. The tavern building is structurally and functionally separated from the barn. The barn, with its unusual perpendicular position to the pub,is a novelty. It offers a sheltered place for visitors or can provide facilities for summer events. The whole has been designed sensitivem with the specific location in mind to meet the specified wants while being an equal partner to existing architecture.
