Public Library Česká Lípa

The Library is located in the cultural half-moon of Česká Lípa. The steep terrain provides two entrances from different levels, one from the east and the other from the roof terrace of Crystal. The building opens to the park on the south and helps to form a tiny park on the north. The whole mass consists of two shapes. The tower in the intersection is formed from stacked platforms while the longitudinal block is emerging from the slope. The placement of all large windows is based on the needs of the interior and together with bookshelves makes a sill sitting designed for the views and reading.
