Annotation

The design of the entrance building to the open-air museum consists of two masses, where the lower building functions as an entrance, with a ticket office, the village information center, and back rooms. At the same time, the adjacent second-floor building is semi-private, and the ground floor serves as a smaller lecture hall, but the upper floor is the office of the open-air museum. Both independent buildings are connected by a glass neck. The preservation of the tradition of the old Bohemian cottages is reflected in the use of the construction type - a log with a dovetail joint in the corner. Thanks to these details, the idea of connecting two different worlds, the past and the present, was further strengthened, and the object designed in this way forms a fixed point of the museum.
