DOG SHELTER

Annotation

Mezitratí. Currently, a non-place where mainly the inhabitants of Karlín and Libeň just go for a walk the dogs. I am opening this place to the people, creating a linear park, cultivating greenery and designing buildings that serve the public and the community. The shelter is nestled between two tree-lined paths and interacts directly with the public spaces, whose dominant feature is the café, temporarily definitive, under the bridge, in the park's heart. Further into the area I propose a dog school, a building with a public veterinary and a gazebo with a fireplace. The theme of each building is colour, which adds a playful character to the otherwise barren space between the lanes. Mezitratí is not meant to be a mere transfer station, but an urban space where it is tempting to wander.
