Archipelag Česká Lípa

Česká Lípa can be compared to a "puzzle city", as it is divided into four parts by roads that pass through the city center and thus form a certain barrier. This situation is exacerbated by the structure where individual parts of the city are characterized by homogeneous development. We focused on connecting the western and eastern parts of Česká Lípa by creating pedestrian crossings and adding multifunctional structures and local centers that offer more sustainable forms of housing and services. At the same time, we focused on the possibility of interaction with the river Ploučnica, which is almost inaccessible in its current form. We integrated isolated roads into urban life by transforming them into boulevards with greenery, active parterres, parking, cycle paths and avenues.
