Thimphu Cultural and Learning Centre

The design is based on a concept of architectural thinking that combines natural materials, environmental sustainability and creative design to create a space where where education and recreation are intertwined. Integration with nature is a key part of my concept. The use of sustainable and rapidly renewable bamboo as a basic building material ensures durability and reliability while creating a sense of lightness and natural harmony. The importance of sustainable construction and environmental friendliness permeates all aspects of the project. Every architectural element, every graceful curve and open space contributes to letting in natural light and creating a play of light and shadow that inspires learning and interaction.
