WINTER SPORTS MUZEUM

The museum is located in the village of Harrachov in the north on the Czech Republic. It over looks the main ski slope and jumping ramps that give Harrachov its identity. The brutalist structure is focused on views towards the slopes. The center piece of the project is a big ice skating ring to bring the visitors more into the spirit of the winter sports and provide a bigger variety of activities in the village. The museum has a café as well as an amphitheater. The exhibition spaces feel spacious and yet intimate.The museum tries to hide into the terrain hoping to have as less of a footprint on its surroundings as possible.
