Museum of winter sports in Harrachov

The movement on snow and ice is a defining character of winter sports. The museum is transfering this movement onto its visitors, it tries to convey its fluidity, speed, vectors and grace. The visitor desends ito the buildig through the stairs embedded ito the terrain, afterwards two monumental spaces open up in front of them, one serves as coffee and commerce, the other one for the exhibition itself. The two vectors od the buildings express the movement on either skis or ice skates, both communicate with the Harrachov view, they point at Čerťák, its ski slope and ski jump. The concrete ventilated facade is broken up by vertically divided windows, which bring interesting diffused light into the interior.
