Annotation

When designing the Parliament building, we put emphasis on making the building accessible to the public. Another aspect that shaped our design was the river Vltava, which is in immediate contact with it. The vividness with which the river is written into its banks, we tried to capture in the movement of the individual floors of the building. The substance of the parliament was also influenced by the Peter's district itself. The organic formation of the territory here was reflected by dividing Parliament into smaller masses. As a result, we were able to make the entire parterre available to the public from all directions and create a generous inner court. In the vertical direction, the building is then optically divided by skylights, which allow a view between the masses.
