INTERSTITIAL SPACES OF NÁCHOD

Náchod doesn't have a very large historical center. It's even sadder to see how it looks. Currently, public spaces are mostly used by vehicles, and they look accordingly. The Náchod Interstitial Spaces project focuses on the transformation of public spaces in the broader city center. I am creating a new street hierarchy and determining who the spaces are intended for. I propose pedestrian-friendly environments where pedestrians take precedence over vehicles. I unify the surfaces. I define their function in the space through different structures and material scales. By introducing a new vertical arrangement, I contribute to the creation of inclusive spaces. I remove barriers and add new passageways.
