Cable cover made of mycelium

Atelier Fišer has again participated in the next edition of the Reborn design competition, which deals with recycling waste materials and at the same time promotes experimental design with mycelia. For my studio work in this case I chose experimental design with mycelia in conjunction with a challenge from Skanska. Cardboard from plasterboard provided by Skanska as recycled material for the Reborn design competition was added to the mycelium mix. For my project, I wanted to take advantage of the fireproofing and thermal insulation properties of mycelia in particular and link the product to Skanska's office space. CableBox was created as a cable wrap for the cables, which would also prevent accidental ignition caused by short circuits between the cables.
