Wooden Village

The proposed ecological settlement is located in Čelákovice, approximately 25 km from Prague. The land chosen for this project is a meadow located on the border of Čelákovice near Volman's villa. The characteristic feature of this location is the slightly sloping terrain towards the southern part of the plot. The site is surrounded by forest on the west side, a development of smaller apartment buildings adjacent to the Volman Workers' Colony on the east side and ponds on the north side. The aim is to conceive the area in the spirit of the Regen Village concept, i.e. as an ecologically and energetically self-sufficient settlement with optimal accessibility to the metropolis.
