Like the life of a quarry, our lives will come to an end, but the end of one is always the beginning of something new. The quarry has already served its time, but it has prepared a place for further use. The shapes of the crematorium refer to the rawness and power of the quarry, and as with it, it intersects the primordial calm mass with something drastic, simplicity meets diversity, horizontality meets verticality, and orthogonality meets naturality. The farewell path lined with colonnade ends in an urn grove, which in its shape represents the never-ending maze of life. The road through the quarry connects nature transformed by humans with architecture created by humans into one dignified final resting place.
