GALLERY MARIÁNSKA SKÁLA

The Marianska Skala Gallery is located near the former quarry of the Marianský vrch, which offers breathtaking views of the city of Ústí nad Labem and its adjacent surrounding countryside. The project intends to respond to the environment of the quarry and offer a new alternative use for artists and sculptors. The gallery is located on the site of two original buildings, which are connected by an irregular geometric mass resembling the shape of stone. The appearance of the mass relates to the raw and industrial character of the quarry. The purpose of this building is not only to exhibit sculptural and artistic works but also to offer spaces for their production using different materials. The whole complex also includes an entrance area with a café and an outdoor terrace.
