Annotation

The river in Kolín once represented life. It has lost its dignified position in the city and is looking for it back. The city grew up on the river, but through the intervention of man, it has turned away from it and slowly began to recede. The railroad is a major barrier. The train corridor is an unhealed scar caused by the human hand during the industrial revolution. The Highline gives the river a new lease of life. It restores the lost waterfront, brings life. The roofing of the corridor gives rise to a new urban promenade. The proposal includes the addition of new development to the existing urban fabric. The injection of new buildings looking towards the river honours its representative position in the city The place is restored to its identity, the Line generates life.
