Cultural centre Arnika

The site of the former block development in Mariánské Lázně, which is not clearly used at present. The new development may offer the site a use other than as additional parkland. The site has historically gone through demolition of buildings, design of a new project but also a competition. The urban design is materially related to the historical design. The design allows for passage between the buildings and the retention of the water feature in the form of a linear water line in the courtyard. The buildings retain a strong compact form, lightened by a shaped lightweight envelope.
