ART GALLERY MARIÁNSKÉ LÁZNĚ

The Art Gallery is located in the spa town of Mariánské Lázně. The urban design concept was to seamlessly relate the existing historical and natural character of the town to the geomorphological conditions of the site by partially embedding the building in the ground. The building was designed as a single-storey building providing several individual polyfunctions. A pass-through colonnade is proposed in the exterior part with associated lettable spaces (facilities) that are only accessible from the outside. These spaces can be used by e.g. market vendors, thus creating a lively parterre for the building.
