CANDY FLOSS - VRCHLICKÉHO CO-DWELLING

Bc. Anna Bukačová

Annotation

A busy Prague street close to the city center full of cars, along which flows a line of several car salons, car services and parking lots. Noisy, uninviting, cut from the green behind. That's not how a city is supposed to look. No more than half an hour from all major Prague universities, the selected parcel offers an option to build student housing. Community, study, but also the need for privacy. How is contemporary student housing supposed to look like? The opportunity to choose and versatility of space were the cornerstones of the Vrchlického student co-dwelling project. It doesn't reduce student life to sleeping, eating and studying, but it offers private and shared spaces in which the users can freely choose the degree of interaction with their surroundings.
