The new urban plan follows on from the terraced development of the workers' colony, which Josef Volmann had built here for his factory. The terraced housing concept meets today's requirements for ecological living, using modern technologies. This will minimize heat loss and at the same time maximize the use of natural resources for the functioning of individual buildings thanks to orientation towards the cardinal points. The urban concept is divided into two primary parts, the interconnection of which creates a synergistic whole. Thanks to this integration, the autonomous functioning of the entire design is enabled.
