Letens trapezoid

The Letens trapezoids apartment building complex is located on Letná Plain in Prague. Due to the different types of buildings located that surround our parcel, it was important to maintain a certain order and create a smooth transition between them. I try to achieve this effect with the trapezoidal shape of the buildings. By connecting and disconnecting the individual buildings I create a semi-private space for the residents and for people that passing by. The façade is made of brick and strips of exposed concrete with large French windows. The parterres are divided into commercial spaces along Milady Horáková Street and spaces for residential buildings. The floor plans work on the principle of a cross that runs through the building to connect all the rooms.
