Vršovice 2030-40-50

The goal of this project was to complete the location around the Prague-Vršovice railway station and to find the best possible filling for it. Specifically, it is an area in close proximity to the railway, bounded from above by the street Vršovická and further by the Botič stream. The railway corridor in this place strongly disrupts the development of Staré Vršovice and Nusle. The connection of these two parts of the city in this place is provided by two underpasses. Here, the railway acts as a scar on the otherwise smoothly functioning urban structure. In the proposal, I try to offer the widest possible range of activities and civic amenities for the public along the current route, so that the perception of a border is removed and people want to actively visit this place.
