Engagement ring

Annotation

Josef and I have known each other for a very long time and I was very happy when he confided in me that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend. He had found a Czech garnet for her in the countryside, which he had originally planned to have carved into a classic shape and the result would actually be quite similar to what you can normally buy. However, we found that this type of Czech garnet would most likely be pulverized when cut, so we decided to work with the stone in its raw form - just as he found it. This ring is designed for the act of proposing - right from the start he told me that his girlfriend would no longer wear it, and so the result is an object that is very personal, carries a beautiful story and is completely honest. "Anyone can buy a polished diamond *beep*."
