Residential Building in Žižkov

The semester assignment was to create and collaborate on a block of apartment buildings in Žižkov. This particular apartment building is a corner building located on the border of Roháčova and Ostromečská streets. The apartment building is situated to the southeast. On the ground floor there is a pub, a flat for the caretaker and facilities for the whole building. The other four floors are typical. The apartments are designed to have plenty of storage space. There are three luxury duplexes on the two retreating floors. The initial idea was to cut a corner. This created a more pleasant space to walk around. There is a skylight in the hallway that connects the entire house and extends to each floor. This allows daylight to reach spaces that would otherwise only be lit artificially.
