Apartment building Chessboard

The apartment building is located in the historic part of Žižkov, specifically in Hartigova street. The lot has a dominant corner position in the block, which is why the project was based on the need to create something spectacular and unique. The concept is based on the idea of ​​a chessboard, which is projected on the main facades oriented to the streets through the cross-exposed bay windows. The orderliness of the facades are ensured by the copper wings, which climb up to the clouds and thus give the house a certain grandeur. In the two-story parter is a café with a typical historical Prague atmosphere. Visitors can enter the building trough the passage located direct in the corner of the lot and residents have their private entrance in the side passage leading to the courtyard.
