In the context of my semester project, I focused on designing a carpenter's plane. The inspiration for this design came from an unexpected experience of an artistic woodcarver who is currently working with an inadequate plane designed by an architect. This situation motivated me to delve deeper into the integration of technical functionality with aesthetics to create a design that serves as a catalyst for creativity. My plane design is targeted at educational centers and schools, aiming not only to provide an efficient working tool but also an aesthetically appealing element that enhances the attractiveness of carpentry. The goal was to create an environment supportive of learning and creativity. I opted for electric sliding bases for flexibility in work but also in modern design.
