Multigenerational housing

Location for the design of this project was the city district Horní Kosov located in the north-eastern part of Jihlava. The area is further researched in detail in the urban study which became the base for the analysis of the specific plot. Designed apartment block provides premises for a cooperative form of participatory housing that provides new possibilities in establishing deeper social relations amongst the residents of the house. The main concept is to create a new way of living for families by implementing multigenerational housing where the family has the option of owning two differently sized housing units in pursuit of satisying the changing needs throughout generations.
