SMELTER IN KLADNO, WE SEE IT POSITIVELY! Our proposal focuses on the revitalization of former area of Vojtěšská huť and creating of a new town quarter, which brings new life to the industrial monument of Kladno and transforms it into a modern and functional part of the city. The main idea of ​​the concept is the use of the original terrain. The newly designed district of the city is based nine meters lower than its surroundings. The transition to this district is gradually eased in places of the traffic backbone, so that the terrain gradually decreases, while part of the original height difference is preserved and covered with public greenery. The new district is therefore two-level.
