MAKOTŘASY GATE

The project creates a new blue-green corridor under the D7 highway in the area of the confluence of the Lidice and Zákolanské streams. A key element is the restoration of archaeological research on the housing estate, which is located directly under the D7 highway and was partially destroyed during its construction. The sanctuary of Makotrásy represents one of the most important Eneolithic sites discovered in our territory. This will allow not only the preservation and presentation of important historical heritage, but also increase the attractiveness of the region for tourists. Another important aspect of the project is the creation of a new wetland ecosystem at the site of the defunct pond.
