The Legacy of Eternity

The surroundings of the Jewish cemetery in Turnov are a model example of the collision between the ever-accelerating world and the past legacy. In the 1990s, a road bridge was built that spanned part of the cemetery and strongly influenced the character of the entire area. Today, the cemetery is no longer in use, but it is still a reverent place that deserves respect. The site has still not dealt with the consequences of the construction intervention. This project is not only about reviving a neglected space, but also about honoring and respecting the deceased and their survivors. There reflects the effort to restore dignity to the place and raise from the dust the local genius loci, who bears the memories.
