Heart of the Town

Ernest of Pardubice Square is the older sibling of Hus Square and is located in the heritage zone of Český Brod. Together, they create a diverse space ranging from narrow medieval streets to large open areas near significant historical buildings. Nevertheless, the local residents are reluctant to spend time here, and thus the square does not fulfill its function. The main goal of the design is to bring order to the area, make it welcoming and understandable for people (especially pedestrians), and ensure the functionality of the square throughout the year so that it can become the heart of the town.
