MULTIFUNCTIONAL CAR PARK
Annotation
The assignment of the Kohout-Tichý studio for the summer semester of 2024 is Písek, a picturesque town located on the Otava river. At its bend is an area called Výstaviště, a part of the city dominated by sports buildings and parking lots. In my design, I follow up on the newly imagined housing development and propose a parking garage with an extended function. Within the building one can apart from parking find a gym, a small basketball hall, a ping-pong club, a climbing center, multiple rooms for rent or a sports equipment store. In addition, one can ascend the two outdoor staircases to the roof, where in addition to a small skate park and children's playground they can enjoy a great view of the historic center of Písek.
