Mírové náměstí Postoloprty

The project focuses on Mírové náměstí in Postoloprty, a historic town center now used for parking. It restores historical elements, returns the space to the people, and supports community activities. The fountain and plague column remain in their original locations, preserving authenticity. Inspired by historical photos, the tree-lined avenue and stone pavement in front of the church are retained. The square’s axes connect key historical points, creating a harmonious urban ensemble. Traditional materials like granite paving ensure durability, and historical lamps provide lighting and safety. Parking spaces are relocated, freeing the central area for pedestrians and public activities. The project blends the past with the present and meets the needs of a modern public space.
