NEW TOWN - Ústí nad Labem

Bc. Romana Rétiová

Annotation

Ústí nad Labem has behind it a great era of industrial production, which is now a thing of the past and is a kind of brake on its development. The city is urbanistically very inhomogeneous. Its largest part is made up of vast areas of factories and warehouses, which are literally located in the heart of the city. These prevent the city from growing naturally. The designing area is located between the city center and the Spolchemie campus. The plan shows a change in the traffic solution, such as the connection of Špitálské náměstí with Stroupežnického Street, the transformation of Panská Street into a city promenade and the SPOLCHEMIE area, the planned high-speed rail terminal and an administrative complex with a pedestrian zone that connects historical core.
