Visitor center Klárov

The visitor centre is located in the Holubička Park in Klárov near the Malostranská metro station. The design is intended to preserve a significant part of the park, to connect the castle steps more closely to the park and to allow access to as much of the site as possible. It is a single-storey building housing a visitor centre, café, staff facilities, toilets and a utility room. The roof of the building is pitched and is a ramp that leads from the centre of the site and takes visitors up to the castle steps. The ramp is surrounded by a steel frame structure to draw the visitor in to want to use this path. An area large enough to accommodate the crowds of tourists passing through to reach Prague Castle is also proposed. Much of the park has been retained and all the trees in the design ar
