Hearwear enables customization of the hearing aid and thus combines a medical aid with jewelry. It encourages not to hide the hearing aid, but to make it an aesthetic element and a fashion accessory, similar to what is the case with prescription glasses today.
The idea of Hearwear also arose with the idea of involving the user in the creative design process itself, for example through a mobile or web application.
