HOUSE IN A GAP
Annotation
In Prague's Výton, between two historic buildings, a wedge-shaped gap was filled by a six-story apartment building. Its dominant feature is the bay window on the corner, which uses the advantageous corner location, attracts attention and expands the living space on the narrow triangular plot.
The building sensitively follows on from the surrounding 19th century buildings thanks to the alignment of high cornices and the division of the facade. The modern look is complemented by French windows that provide enough light. On the ground floor there is a shop, an entrance hall and a bicycle shed. The individual 2+1 apartments have a modest balcony on the south facade, while the receding maisonette on the top floor offers a spacious terrace with a view.
