Egerland's Crown

Bc. Veronika Nazarejová

Annotation

715 / 5 000 From the top of the Dyleň hill, the spire of a tower lurks, which can be seen from a great distance from both the German and Czech sides. The site marked by war is getting a new lease of life in the form of the Egerland Crown complex. The place itself is about meeting two nationalities, which is why the main framework of the design was to create a space for meetings. For the meeting of Germans and Czechs, tourists and locals, athletes and non-athletes. By adding a cable car, Dyleň and the entire Czech Forest become more accessible to older people or people with disabilities. The design refers to the Cheb building culture by paraphrasing the half-timbering on the facade, the house arrangement around the courtyard and the Egerland red. The forest again absorbs the hill.
