Sport centrum PRGVK

"Concrete body with a heart of wood" when designing this building, I focused primarily on highlighting the importance of interior spaces, and how they are reflected on its cover. The wooden structure of massive columns and trusses covers the basketball court and, in contrast to the rest of the building, makes it special and “celebrates“. The sports center forms a block together with a kindergarten and an apartment building. Thanks to its stepped shape, none of the surrounding buildings lose the necessary daylight. The hall is deliberately " open“ to the street-thanks to this it is possible to look into the hall from the street, which also contributes to its illumination. The building contains a large hall for basketball, a smaller hall designed for yoga, as well as an area for a cafe.
