Liberec - Small square

Malé náměstí in Liberec lies on the edge of the historic center. Once a busy market square, it’s now mostly a parking lot. Its main feature is the baroque Church of The Holy Cross, part of the Via Sacra pilgrimage route, with a small park in front. However, the park is neglected and rarely used, and the church garden with the plague column and chapel is usually closed. The site feels disconnected, divided by a road in front of the church.My goal is to unify the area and enhance its significance. I propose three zones: an active square for socializing, a sacred space for reflection around the Way of the Cross, and peaceful terraced gardens for relaxation. )
