GAP HOUSE HRO

The location of Výtoň is situated on the edge of the Prague's 20th century redevelopment area. My project focuses on a specific "block" in this area that was missed by the demolition. In its organically grown, seemingly chaotic structure, a triangular plot has emerged – more of a narrow gap – at the corner of Na Hrobci and Na Výtoni streets. This plot, which has never been fully built upon during its long development and remains unused to this day. The issue with the plot lies not only in its historical context, challenging shape, and limited area but also in the specific conditions of its orientation – the largest facade of the plot faces north, while the southern side remains a narrower gap. My goal is to design comfortable and functional housing that overcomes these challenges.
