Annotation
The main aim of the design proposal was to address some of the contemporary issues that contribute to increasingly unaffordable housing. We propose the use of prefabricated elements, which significantly reduce on-site construction costs. The load-bearing precast/monolithic concrete system is combined with CLT modules, which serve as an outer shell for bathrooms and entrance spaces in each flat, as well as rammed earth blocks for the facade. Since the notion of living can no longer be assumed permanent with regard to individual households, we have designed flats that allow for variable future usage. The flats can be interconnected without requiring irreversible building interventions. Additionally, we are incorporating a public garden, designed as an extension of the public space.
