Ju 8 reflects the history of the Kolben factory district, looking upward to the skies where Junkers aircraft once soared. Junkers, originally a boiler and radiator producer, transitioned into aircraft manufacturing during WWI, leaving a legacy of distinctive corrugated fuselages—a detail echoed in the building’s façade with subtle metal elements. Rather than evoking a cockpit experience, the design offers residents stunning views over the grand hall and the surrounding area, connecting history with modern living.
