Recreation in the landscape is becoming increasingly important, with permeability benefiting both people and wildlife. Forests drained for economic purposes are losing their water retention capacity and soil quality.
My design, located near St. Hubert, addresses these issues. The area has been affected by straightened watercourses and monocultures. The goal is to restore biodiversity, water management, and recreational appeal, with a priority on returning the site to nature. The revitalization of streams will include the restoration of meanders and riparian forests.
The trail will connect key points, such as ancient beech trees or stone sea, allowing visitors to discover the beauty of the landscape.
This project aligns with the shared landscape concept for the village of Drahouš.
