High Speed Block - Smíchov Market Hall

The project is designed to create a unique user experience, beginning with a bold curve that contrasts the train tracks passing through the site, completing the urban block on an incline. The building allows the train to pass both over and through it, integrating its motion into the architectural journey. The stepped roof features openings for natural light, while translucent polycarbonate enhances visibility of the train’s movement, creating a dynamic visual element. Inside the market hall, the experience is immersive as the path descends underground, offering a variety of services, including restaurants, markets, and cafes. Outside, the curve transitions into a large park, partially visible through the glass façade, blending the interior and exterior and enriching the user’s interaction
