Street Furniture for the Town of Jilemnice
Annotation
The task was to design a comprehensive piece of street furniture that would represent the town of Jilemnice. This includes creating a new design for bus stops. The furniture should serve as a unifying element that consistently represents Jilemnice.
For my design, I chose structural principles reflecting local requirements. Priority was given to durability and protection against the local climate. For the material solution, I selected materials known for their high durability, such as corten steel and oak planks used for benches. The color of the corten steel also reflects the local resource, specifically sandstone, which is typically red in this area.
