CIHLOVKA

The residential building is designed for smaller apartments, which corresponds to the shaded conditions of the plot. However, larger apartments are designed on the last stepped floor, which mainly have a glass facade and terraces. The ground floor is intended for commercial premises. In the material solution, I was inspired by the history of the place, specifically hall 19, from which I adopted the green color of the skylights and the square-shaped, flat windows. The first halls on Pragovka were built of bricks, and I chose this material for the new building as well. My main goal was to create a user-friendly space that respects the industrial impression of the place and at the same time does not draw attention away from other important objects in the area.
