Family house with a studio
Annotation
House located in Hanspaulka is divided into two buildings. This creats a courtyard that is protected not only from curious eyes, but also from the sun-exposed southern slope. The house follows terrain profile; the main entrance leads to intermediate platform, and then descends by three steps to the living part of the house, which is still at natural level of the terrain. French windows seamlessly connect interior with the garden on a further sloping plot. Upstairs there are bedrooms facing orchard. Windows can be completely folded and these rooms can be made into airy loggias. The view can flow undisturbed above treetops to the panorama of Prague. With all the senses, it is possible to perceive not only comfort of home, but also garden in its transformations, and the magnificence of the city.
