House with studio

The House for Eve is a family house with a studio for the architect Eva Jiřičná. It is located in villa district Hanspaulka in Dejvice. The irregular shape of the plot was imprinted on the floor plan of the house, which thus copies its trapezoidal shape. Built-up area takes around 127m² of the whole plot- 750m². The house has four floors with a two-storey loft studio connected by a spiral staircase. The house is therefore divided into working and residential part, which is connected with the central staircase going through all four floors. The main facade of the house is oriented to the south uncovering a beautiful view of Prague. There are all living rooms along a terrace. The north façade is open to the garden and the glass wall is designed to light up the whole studio.
